MasterShape Brow Pencil
I bought these two on a whim, which is really unusual for me because I normally read 10 million reviews about a product before I buy it! But with a special offer on in Superdrug and my trusty Rimmel brow pencil running out, I thought I'd give it a whirl, and to be honest, I'm not regretting it!
The brow pencil is a really nice cool blonde colour, which is so hard to find! It fills in my brows really naturally as it's a wax-based pencil, and I also love the spoolie that comes with it-the bristles are the perfect length for blurring out harsh lines without removing product from my brows. I do have one hang-up, however. As it's wax-based the pencil wears down really quickly, and this means that I have to sharpen it every couple of uses, causing me to lose product. While this wouldn't normally be a problem, it makes rather a hefty dent in my empty student wallet! Despite this though, I think I definitely will be repurchasing due to the lovely natural looking colour.
The brow mascara is amazing. I've never previously used anything to set my brows in place, as they were so thin I didn't really see the need. But now I've grown them out, it's much more obvious that they need a little taming! It doesn't leave my brows feeling crispy at all-in fact I forget there's any product on there! It has just the right amount of colour, and it darkens my brows to a beautiful natural dark blonde when it's on over my brow pencil. Lastly, it keeps my brows and pencil in place all day! No more transferring or rubbing off during the day-an absolute godsend. At first I didn't think I would get on with the brush, but actually it's really easy to use. It deposits product evenly over the brow so it looks really natural, and it also covers my brow perfectly, without getting the gel all over my skin.
I would definitely re-purchase both of these products, as they really do what they say on the tin! And at just £2.99 for the pencil and £4.99 for the brow mascara at Superdrug, they aren't too expensive either.
Here's some comparison pictures!
I apologise for the horrendous lighting-I'm working on it!
See you all next week!
