Eylure Lashfix and Individual Lashes Review

Hi everyone! This review is so late and I am so so sorry but I didn't have any internet for a couple of days because of the storms (grr hormonal british weather!). Anyway, today I will be reviewing two recent purchases of mine, the Eylure Lashfix Eyelash Adhesive and the Eylure Individual Lashes.

Lashfix in box.

Lashfix out of box.

Lashes in box.

Lashes out of box.

Firstly, I'll talk about the lashes. I was skeptical about buying these, but as they came recommended and the application can't be any worse than with strip lashes, I decided to give them a go. After looking at millions of videos on Youtube about how to apply them, I decided to give them a go for the first time when I was just running some errands as if they went wrong, I'd have an excuse for looking rubbish! I first curled my lashes and gave them a swipe of mascara, then I proceeded with putting on the lashes. (I used Lashfix glue instead of the one that comes with it as I wanted to take them off that evening so I can't comment on that!) I used one long, two medium and one short to create my look, and although it took a while, they were relatively easy to apply. Here's the finished look:

Open eye.

Closed eye.

As you can see, the Lashfix glue really did dry clear and the lashes blended effortlessly into my lash line which I loved as they looked really natural (I hate the thick bands on strip lashes)

The Lashfix glue I actually picked up on a whim as the Superdrug I went to didn't have my usual Revlon glue in stock. I half expected it to be the same as the glue in the lash boxes (rather underwhelming and hard to work with) but I got a very pleasant surprise! The spatula gives you just the right amount of glue due to the tight top of the bottle, and it dries really quickly. This glue also stays PUT! I wore my lashes on a very windy day and they didn't budge a bit.

Overall, I'm very impressed with the Lashfix glue, and although I need more practise with the lashes I do like them more than strips. They're also very cheap products, at £2.75 for the glue and £5.25 for the lashes from Superdrug.

See you all next week!

Maybelline BrowDrama and MasterShape Review

Hey everyone! Today I will be talking about two products I managed to get my hands on recently. These are the Maybelline BrowDrama Sculpting Brow Mascara and the MasterShape Brow Pencil, both in dark blonde (I don't think they do light blonde *sigh*)

BrowDrama Sculpting Brow Mascara and MasterShape Brow Pencil

BrowDrama Sculpting Brow Mascara

MasterShape Brow Pencil

I bought these two on a whim, which is really unusual for me because I normally read 10 million reviews about a product before I buy it! But with a special offer on in Superdrug and my trusty Rimmel brow pencil running out, I thought I'd give it a whirl, and to be honest, I'm not regretting it!
The brow pencil is a really nice cool blonde colour, which is so hard to find! It fills in my brows really naturally as it's a wax-based pencil, and I also love the spoolie that comes with it-the bristles are the perfect length for blurring out harsh lines without removing product from my brows. I do have one hang-up, however. As it's wax-based the pencil wears down really quickly, and this means that I have to sharpen it every couple of uses, causing me to lose product. While this wouldn't normally be a problem, it makes rather a hefty dent in my empty student wallet! Despite this though, I think I definitely will be repurchasing due to the lovely natural looking colour.

The brow mascara is amazing. I've never previously used anything to set my brows in place, as they were so thin I didn't really see the need. But now I've grown them out, it's much more obvious that they need a little taming! It doesn't leave my brows feeling crispy at all-in fact I forget there's any product on there! It has just the right amount of colour, and it darkens my brows to a beautiful natural dark blonde when it's on over my brow pencil. Lastly, it keeps my brows and pencil in place all day! No more transferring or rubbing off during the day-an absolute godsend. At first I didn't think I would get on with the brush, but actually it's really easy to use. It deposits product evenly over the brow so it looks really natural, and it also covers my brow perfectly, without getting the gel all over my skin.

I would definitely re-purchase both of these products, as they really do what they say on the tin! And at just £2.99 for the pencil and £4.99 for the brow mascara at Superdrug, they aren't too expensive either.

Here's some comparison pictures!
Bare brow top, both products used bottom.

I apologise for the horrendous lighting-I'm working on it!

See you all next week!

Real Techniques Stippling Brush Review

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be reviewing the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. I was hesitant to buy this as I had heard very mixed reviews about it, but faced with a Boots gift card, what can a woman do?
Here is how I've got on with it so far:

I absolutely love the look of the Real Techniques brushes. There's something about them that looks really pretty and professional, and I love that-I won't buy tacky looking brushes!
As you can see, it's much less dense than some of the other Real Techniques brushes, like the Powder Brush (review will be coming soon on that one!) and this threw me a little, but it applies foundation beautifully, and leaves me with really healthy, almost airbrushed looking skin (the claims they make are true!)
I was concerned about shedding as this seemed to be an issue that cropped up in a lot of other reviews that I read, but I haven't experienced any of this, and although I haven't yet deep cleaned it, I don't think it will shed. It's also really nice and soft, which means it's lovely to use on the more sensitive parts of your face, especially as the stippling motion can sometimes irritate my skin (for some strange reason!)
As my mum put it, this brush fills in all the lumps and bumps, and I have found this very true! However, although it takes a little longer to apply my foundation in the morning, I'm not complaining!
I bought this brush for £11.99 from Boots, which for me is a little on the expensive side, but it really is worth every penny.
Here's some swatches of how it applies my foundation:

Overall, I'm really happy with this brush, and will be buying more from Real Techniques!
